Can't catch a break.

Yep, he is sick again. So far he has a runny nose. Poor kid's nose is all red. Now, I have to share that I am really anxious (not in a good way) b/c this is how the flu started in January. All I did was take him to the pediatrician's office to get blood work done which was a wasted trip since they didn't do it there. All we had to do was GO & he gets sick.

The runny nose started late yesterday afternoon & he has managed to not have a fever until this point but again, I am holding my breath. I don't want the girls to get it but a cold is a cold & they are in contact w/ one another all day long. What are the odds? Anyone actually know?

On top of this, the kids woke up at 6 am, a wee bit earlier than normal. Gabi was also crying at about 11:30 last night so I had to get up & check on her. This broken sleep & not enough of it for the past week is getting to this momma.

I know, what won't kill us will only make us stronger.

The kids were actually sitting quietly together. So cute! (Um, I don't normally dress the girls identically but I was doing laundry.)

Ian & Gabi chillin' on the floor together. They were giggling so hard!

Hoping Ian gets well very soon and you can get some rest ASAP!

I love that last photo of Todd & Ian, Zeke does the same thing to Ryan all the time, it is so sweet!

I was just thinking we should get together this week, but I guess we'll have to wait. Hope it's nothing serious and he feels better soon!

Hi Astrid. Unfortunately in our experience, we have never just had one sick child. Honestly, we are not very good about keeping away from "germy" places. My kids have had colds every few months for the past year. Anytime they have colds, they sleep poorly and are extra grumpy. Plus, it lasts for 14+ days. Such a pain. It doesn't sound like your kids get colds often. Must be all that breast milk you provided! Hang in there!

Just to let you know Astrid, mine started waking again at night around your age. It's really weird, we don't know what is going on. But I heard it is common. Mine have been snotty for about 2 weeks now with no end in sight! They had coughs but the Vicks plug ins are great at night with helping them breath thru their noses. Mine still take pacis at night so they hate when they cant suck on their pacis! I need to get rid of those soon. :) Hope they feel better soon!

Thank you all for the advice! We have spread the cold around. Sofi, Gabi, & I have it. Ian seems to not have it much anymore so hopefully their little immune systems are kicking it in the ass.

Ugh! It is so much harder to take care of sick babies when you are not feeling well yourself! I'll be saying a little prayer for the family to get over this quickly. And i wanted to let you know that your covers are done! I'll get with you as soon as everyone is back in working order. ;)

They are too cute! Hope everyone gets to feeling better. If you can handle the broken sleep you got the first few months of their lives, you can handle it now with ease :) Hope they start getting more sleep again soon so mommy can get some too!
